This client had new engineered pre-finished floors installed to match their existing pre-finished oak floors. The original contractor said their existing floors couldn't be sanded and that they could install an almost identical match. (We sanded them all and they turned out beautiful)
In the pictures below you will see where the contractor had installed a MUCH lighter (in color) floor, who then tried to remedy the situation by mixing a bunch of stain in with polyurethane and applied it to a new pre-finished floor to darken it up!!
In one of the pictures you can see some of the flakes on the wall, the baseboards, all over.
While sometimes the cheaper quote may seem appealing, it doesn't always end up being the most appealing, and in the end may cost you more time, money, and frustration.
